The same thing goes for the inane and way out verbal inanities that Reverend Wright and Father Pflager roll off of their tongues just as regularly. But at least Wright and Pflager don't talk about "asassination plots" against the sitting president. I suppose Farrakhan figured that he could get away with that kind of not so subtle rabble rousing by throwing it in along with his describing what he saw on a " spaceship" back in the 80's. A lot of black people like to say that Lous Farrakhan has never done a violent thing to one white person in his life. Perhaps not physically, but words can lead followers to do violent things, can they not. He is predicting bad things will happen to Obama. Did he see that on the "spaceship" as well? He is a wacko for sure, but I'm sure Barry knows all about him. After all, Barry spent over twenty years listening to the Farrakhan clone, Rev. Wright, saying similarly "far out things regularly," did he not? It sort of makes you wonder what William Ayers has to say about Farrakhan's speech. Same goes for Wright and Pflager. Whatever. I think that Barry had better wonder if his "old spiritual guidance pals" in Chicago are setting him up. The truth is that Obama's far left take on national policies and where he wants to take America is what is aiming him towards becoming a one term president...NOT any white right wing conspiracy. But leave it to people like Farrakhan to imply that there is indeed a conspiracy. There is enough evil, corruption, confusion, chaos, and foolishness in the world already without clowns like Farrakhan ( and Wright, and Pflager, and Jackson, and Sharpton ) stirring the pot even further with nonsense is illogical. I have wondered why Farrakhan and his "clones" have been so silent about Obama since his election, but it is obvious that in his mind he is thinking the same sort of things that Jessie Jackson blurted out inadvertently over a open mike back in July of 2008. He pronounced the word as "corpsman"...not once, but twice. This from the man who goes out of his way to always say PAK-I-STAN with a fluid lilt every chance he gets! This from a man who has gone out of his way to be photographed wearing a USMC t-shirt ( maybe his shirt was "made in china" ) while playing "hoops" at a USMC base. This from a man is more concerned with "don't ask, don't tell" than he is with the military. This from a man who probably is confounded about how to bring all of our troop back from what he continues to call "Bush's wars in the middle-east." The man is delusional. The man is out of his league. The man is dangerous. Come to think of it, he may have had a freudian slip when he called a corpsman a "corpseman." Perhaps he meant the word exactly as it came out. Truth be told, Obama cares even less about out military than he does about America, America's traditions, America's values, America's mores, America's economy, and America's citizens. Our troops and airmen are mere chess pieces on a political gameboard that he, Emmanuel, Reid, Pelosi, Clinton, and the rest of the Oval Office gang play with every day. Of course it was as intellectually vapid as all the rest of his speeches, but kyou have to take your hat off to a speaker who can: *Begin by calmly assuring the assembled group that "we're fine, everybody" as protestors tried to interrupt the start of his speech. *Segue to talking ever so briefly about Notre Dame "Bookstore Basketball" ( naming two of the teams, the HALLELUJAH HOLLA BACK and the immortal BARACK OBALLERS ), and offer his b-ball skills to any team that would need a 6' 2" forward with a decent jumper. *Two paragraphs later he mentions that "the challenges before us require (?) that we remake (?) our world to renew it's promise." Slick socialism, eh, Barack? *Then trashing the American econony by labeling it as one "where greed and short-term thinking were too often rewarded at the expense of fairness ( ah, the lefties were probably having orgasms when they heard that code word interjected ), and diligence, and an honest days work." Sounds like a description of our politicians, including him, in Washington D.C., eh? *Then he drops in a few words about a "changing climate" and "ever-growing diversity-diversity of thought, diversity of culture, and diversity of belief." Ah, he hangs the rare quadruple "diversity as codeword" rap on his rapt crowd. Heavy! *But, he tops that by "surfing" smoothly to a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King re a "single garment of destiny." Which he uses as a platform for preaching to the audienc about the "imperfections of man" for a few sentances in which he managed to to speak of "original sin" with how "we cling to outworn prejudice and fear those who are unfamiliar." Neat! *He then, over a very short three paragraphs, segues smoothly to lip service about HIV/AIDS, joining "hands in common effort"..and "vigorous debate" while "remaining firm in our principles," to a plug for his book, The Audacity of Hope! Yes, indeed, he does have a gift of gab ( ...but only when a teleprompter is at hand ). Followed by a brief "tale" about a physician who differed with him re: abortion. *He innocuously admitted that pro-life and anti-abortion belief are "...at some level...irreconcilable." After which he spoke of "open hearts, open minds, and fair-minded words," as "a way of lift that has always been the Notre Dame tradition." Very nice, Barack. Especially how you used it as a springboard to how you learned the "tradition of cooperation and understanding...with the help of the Catholic Church." Damn amazing statement there, Barack. I guess that the Catholic Church taught you a bit more about cooperation and understanding than your early Islamic studies, eh? If so, why didn't you choose to join a Catholic congregation rather than the Church that Jeremiah Wright led? Oh, don't tell me, you were at times on the brink of joining the Father Pflager "Neo-Catholic Crew" over at St. Sabins's. Right! *Then he took an amazing turn of word and thought to say that he was "not raised in a particularly religious household, but (his) mother instilled in (him) a sense of service and empathy that eventually led him to become A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER." My, my, my, now isn't that a knee slapper? From what we know of your relationship with your mother, she wasn't around very much to give you, uh, much religious grounding, right? Ah, but that is nit-picking. The main thing is that he was smokin' at this point in the speech...he had the audience in the palm of his hand, so to speak. *He invoked the name of the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin ( Archbishop of Chicago ), and repeated something that he said the Cardinal told him. Ah, the hankies were ready to come out in droves. *He skipped deftly to why the "Class of 2009" was there. He even dropped in a bit of humble self-deprecation about how the graduates "wil wathc politicians pretend they know what they are talking about." Most of the crowd missed that little dig at himself. He ended that partgraph by saying that the graduates may someday see "improtant issues debated by people who do know what they"re talking about-by well-intentioned people with brilliant minds and mastery of the facts." I had the strange feeling that he wanted to drop Al Gore's name at the end of that sentance, but I thank God that he didn't. That would have been more hyprocisy and outright bull than I could take. *He implored the graduates to "stand like a lighthouse." Funny thing, though, he seemed to be talking about his favorite lighthouse-himself! *Deftly he moved on at warp speed to speak of God, good works, kindness, service, hearts and minds, the call to serve (sic ), struggle sacrifice, and learning from one another to make "all things possible." Socialism, sweet socialism, Barack loves code for thy name. *But, he was not through. He glided into mention of the Brown vs. Board of Education, supreme Court decision that occurred 55 years previously, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Whew, talk about jumping "back to the future." He even added Dwight D. Eisenhower to the mix. Smooth transitions. *Ah, but all things come to an end...and so did this speech. "The Onehad to include in the concluding short paragraph of the speech some words from the "left" side of his heart / brain; "collective labor," willingness to shoulder each others burdens," and how "America will continue on its precious journey towards that more perfect union." Why is it that the words "Socialist States of America" popped into my head as he ended with those words, and left the podium to rapturous applause? And I know Obama is glad that his presidential teleprompter didn't crash during the speech. The speech, the teleprompter, and "The One" clicked as one! It was in its own way a quite remarkable speech in how it was shaped and structured to allow "The One" to glibly say something that would embrace everybody, while offending only the truly closed-minded. Of course it was all leftist, socialist, and intellectually empty, but it was great mind candy for those intelligent enough to "see through" it's essential vapidity. In the end, "The One" got to practice his "gift" in front of a national audience, and he got an honorary degree in the process. Plus, he didn't have to apologize for his stance on abortion, make a statement about ND probably needing to bring back Ty Willingham, and wonder aloud why the Notre Dame mascot is always "white." H. APRIL 16, 2009-Well, if you didn't believe that the Obama-Nation was out to get you money, your rights, and your guns before this point in time, just what do you think about "The One" bowing...yes, freakin' BOWING!!!...to the King of Saudi Arabia ( the heart and soul of Wahabi Jihadist country ), and ( just yesterday-April 17, 2009 ) his greeting with a sparkling smile and a "warm"( sic ) handshake, venezuela's dictator, Hugo Chavez, on the island of Trinidad?
